First steps
At the age of twelve, Vincenzo Pennino starts working as butcher's boy for the former “Macelleria Artaria” in Como delivering grocery by bicycle. At the beginning this was just a hobby for summer, but gaining more and more experience even in the shop, Vincenzo starts feeling a real love for butchering as well as for the relationship with customers that this work implies.

From Passion to Profession
Vincenzo turns his passion into a proper work: he specialises himself both in butchering and selling at the former “Macelleria Artaria”, where he works until the age of 30.

The turning year
Finally, Vincenzo decides to launch his own business and, after receiving permission by the ex-mayor Ferruccio Celotti, he opens ``Macelleria Vincenzo Pennino`` in Pognana Lario. Over the years he gains the loyalty of many customers that still now visit his shop every day, from Pognana Lario and the other towns in the nearby.

Not only meat
Born “simply” as butchery and sausage shop, in 2000 Vincenzo starts providing more and more products and services: he turns his shop in a minimarket for daily grocery, providing fresh delicatessen and new services such as home delivery.

``Macelleria Vincenzo Pennino`` passes into the hands of sons and becomes Macelleria Pennino. Today, the activity is run by Pennino brothers that carry on their family tradition under the supervision of dad Vincenzo. Quality is very important for them too and this value is the distinctive feature that their more and more international clientele really appreciates.
